The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky the 3rd

Rooms and enemy layouts sometimes feel a bit samey, which drags pacing between the really strong story and door moments.

The mechanics that compliment the world are by far the biggest part as the fast travel is huge compared to Sky 1 and 2.

Combat is quick, customizable, and very satisfying if all tools provided are used properly.

You do get access to the largest cast of playable characters to date in the series and can freely swap them around for the majority of the game unlike in the previous two.

Despite having a few issues with this game and with playing on Hard, I ultimately still quite enjoyed this game, especially getting to learn more about and say goodbye to these excellent characters, and I didn't even mention the stellar soundtrack, so factor that in, too!

Still, the game is very accommodating in how it lets you retry failed battles immediately and even offers the option to turn down the difficulty for that fight.
