I played most of it with the Mulderland Enhancement Pack (highly recommended) and for a one-click install, the HD textures are beautiful.

As above, the game is much more action, most of which is fun though, although you could argue fun combat is better for action and perhaps not for survival horror, but I gave them a break on that, as they had only just invented the genre two years prior!
