We love coop games for duos, but a lot of them are repetitive and more focused on being "cozy" rather than having original gameplay.
The story so far is quite short and combat, while entertaining, is a little on the easier side, I wish you could adjust the difficulty ^^ But the game has great potential - I did not expect a FREE game to be this entertaining.
AS it is now, combat is quite trivial and its hard to understand which modifier is best cause they dont seem to affect so much the stats.
polished game, with a simple but fun combat focus, and a loveable, stylized crafted world. very fun to experience with friends. the dual-equipment combat system allows for a lot of variety, allowing one to deck themselves out for a specific playstyle for how they want to target enemies. customizing one's character's aesthetic with the skins and cosmetics is also neat. each enemy fights uniquely and has to be tackled differently, keeping combat interesting. i loved filling out the field book, seeing each enemy i fought appear in the book and wondering what the remaining ones were kept me curious to keep playing. also the artwork in the field book is really nice. the level design is readable and fun, and especially in driften, works well with the mostly top down limitation to create interesting room layouts for fighting and hiding from enemies. i liked a lot how in the fabric forest the drill enemies were followed by a drill trinket puzzle; it was well done, and required no instruction. i think more trinket dependent situations/puzzles would have been fun to see, and would have made the trinket system feel even more integrated with the environments -- i do hear there's an additional puzzle with a secret room found with the drill item. though this is top down, some light platforming or environmental hazards could be fun; the meteorites were neat, and the silly water could actually be used for some sort of wipeout enemy gauntlet. the visuals are great. environments are modeled amazing, and work well with the level layout, minus a few oddities with invisible walls. the characters and enemies are all animated well with lots of personality. minor stuff like dealing damage, taking damage, snatch it trinket attacks, and enemy disappearance could be improved to be more clear. i love this game's artstyle and world; the characters are loveable, cute, and each unique. my favorite is the snatch it, i need a plushie of them, and the stitchlings are yummy. overall, fun game, there's a lot of thought put into so many small parts like the UI and more, and it ran with little to no bugs. it'd be interesting to see a longer version, with new mechanics, an expanded full story, and more secrets. looking forward to these creators future content!

Also love that the devs added a PVP Arena where you can battle after completing the game :)

Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
No themes split opinion in this sample.
No recurring complaints surfaced in this sample.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. One more theme was raised by fewer than 5 sampled reviews and is not shown.
