Lifts a Boulder is a small, whimsical exploration platformer developed and published by Alexander Golke that draws inspiration from the world of the Touhou Project while focusing on a simple but charming gameplay premise.
Absolutely stellar graphics that are on par with real life, and extremely optimized for that matter as well.
Rather than presenting an elaborate narrative or complex gameplay systems, the game builds its identity around a playful idea: the energetic ice fairy Cirno discovers that a massive boulder has been placed in front of her house, preventing her from getting inside.
The sound design further enhances the game’s relaxed atmosphere.
Lo and behold, the game and the controller felt perfect together and it truly was just like as if I was playing a retro game.
