The graphics remind me of the PlayStation era and the gameplay recreated a feeling that I had with games like Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater back in the day.
The game never takes itself seriously, and that sense of self-awareness permeates everything from its missions to its in-game story, which jokingly frames the bus as a legendary hero on a quest for greatness.
Visually, OmniBus leans into its absurdity with an art style that looks like something ripped straight from the late 1990s.
The physics are wonky by design, which can be a lot of fun in the early levels, and I'm sure is a blast in the multiplayer that I've yet to try, but can be a bit frustrating in the later levels where you're likely to have more than a few retries because the bus decided to spaz out and do a triple-flip instead of driving however you needed it to to clear the level.
+Controller support is good, and menus are lean and functional.
