What players think
The recurring themes across 297 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
Just like the remake of the first game, Second Encounter HD updates the graphics of the old Serious Sam expansion disk, while retaining the fast-paced combat and the great new weapons of the original.
More of an episode 2 then a sequel, if you also have First Encounter HD and the free "Fusion" DLC you can play through both game's levels all in sequence with lots of buddies in coop.
The soundtrack, a mix of energetic rock and tense orchestral moments, underscores the action beautifully and keeps adrenaline levels high from start to finish.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 2 more themes were each raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and are not shown.
