Mad Nords: Probably an Epic Quest

The gameplay is quite smooth, with fewer skills and attributes so as not to give you headache what to choose during level-up, and limited inventory that rarely gets over-cluttered (thanks to an excellent “instant sell button” innovation in your inventory that will save you time dragging all that junk back to the town).

The main storyline plot is quite crazy, as well as the sidequests and some absurd situations coming from the interactions with NPCs contributes to its overall atmosphere of funny disbelief.

They're sort-of 'old skool' pixel graphics, but mostly very clean and well defined, with minor animations that add flavour.

Combat is quite fun, though, especially once you've gone up a level or two and have some abilities, equipment, and potions in your inventory, so each encounter doesn't feel like so much of a life and death gamble.

Gameplay is somewhat short (about 6-8 hours clean time), but nine playable classes provide good replayability, and at a favorable price.

The interface works well, but unfortunately there's not a whole lot of variation to what you'll find in the various locations, so you'll quickly work out that you can ignore most of the flavour items on screen.
