Overall a pretty enjoyable game, not an absolute must-have, but good to grab in a sale if you like old-school FPS games.
Sure, the graphics are dated, but it still plays very well.
Fortunately, now that they'll run on modern hardware that's not an outright N64 emulator AND that they'll play on keyboard and mouse, it's a real chef's kiss moment in terms of gameplay.
The sound effects are not bad at all but it's not something to notice much through the game.
The keyboard + mouse works exactly the way you expect them to work and the gamepad is now adapted to be modern-like FPS, making the Turok experience even better than the Nintendo 64 one.
For a 1997 game, the visuals still hold up reasonably well, and the remaster’s native Linux port is a big plus.
