I played Gothic 1, 2 & 3 (incl. all addons) and Risen 1 but I will compare this game only to Risen 1 as it is the prequel to Risen 2, also story wise.
DLCs are worth 1-2 $ max each since they only add ~4 hours of gameplay.
+ Graphics are beautiful at times (for a 2012 title).
+ Good soundtrack.
