If I absolutely have to give it any redeeming quality at all, it's that I really enjoy the character-switching mechanic, what little there was.

Fell in love with the main character which had a really good voice actor who understood how the dialogue was supposed to be portrayed (especially compared to the voice actor in the second secret files...I almost stopped the series becuase of voice acting in that game).
