The visuals are great, the music is great, and the gameplay is standard.

Hylics, developed and published by Mason Lindroth, is one of those rare indie games that feels less like a traditional RPG and more like stepping into a lucid dream sculpted from painted clay, strange poetry, and half-familiar mechanics.

the art style is simply amazing and fun to see the weird characters and animations are the main feature here what to do and figure the out the combat it can be tricky but is part of the fun

Combined with the ethereal, sometimes discordant soundtrack, the game fosters an atmosphere that seems to bypass rational thought and appeal directly to the subconscious.

Something I do really like is how combat feels almost impossible, so you avoid fights until you get your second party member; then it starts to get easy to fight, and you start attacking everything.

sure, the whole game had more balance issues along the way, having incredibly weird difficulty curve going up and down like a rollercoaster, and the skills were randomly thrown at you where you didn't use half of them mostly, but the progression was rewarding and the atmosohere with the art and the music made it incredibly fun to explore
