I played this when I was a kid, and I was looking for a game for my 5, nearly 6 year old daughter and stumbled upon this ancient gem on Steam. what's nice is that it scales difficulty based on successful runs, meaning that it has built in replayability as the puzzles change and get harder.

The visuals are fine and have genuine effort put into them, although they are not as lovable, to my eye, as the originals from 1996.

Seeing the care that was put into this, including a frame tale about Zoombinis escaping scheming capitalists who exploit their labor (yes, really!) and high quality campy voice acting, really warmed my heart.
