The story was great with interesting characters.
after also playing the demos for LBA1 and LBA2 in the late 90's) so I tried the original with Achievements and Game controller support; I found myself enjoying it much more, now knowing what to expect from the relentlessness enemies (I didn't get sent to the jail this time!) -- enemies were a little easier to avoid and take out with the magic ball attack.
The original animation style, pre-rendered backdrops, polygonal characters, and evocative soundtrack create a distinctive atmosphere that has aged into something uniquely appealing — not polished, but soulful.
