There is an option in the settings to eliminate suggestive humour, but that seems to be about all there is. ;) The main character is pretty mundane, as most main characters tend to be, but the other party characters are all pretty creative and interesting.
Before getting into the gameplay, it took a little while just to get comfortable with the controls.
I like the art style, personally.
Similarly to Sweet Lily Dreams, you get to select the game worlds from a menu - but unlike in SLD, where it has a story-based explanation (a selection of dreamworlds from a portal in Rosaria works splendidly in SLD), in Epic Quest the stages are just dubbed "Level X: Level name" and are selectable from a very simple menu with no main overworld map of any kind joining them.
The soundtrack and atmosphere also contribute positively to the experience.
