First and foremost, I recommend "Growing Things Up" not because it's a shining example of the genre, but because it is, in my opinion, a very typical example of the genre, with it's own unique story, and with solid potential for the future -- YES, it's incomplete, and ends midstory -- but the ending is a pretty decent cliff-hanger reflective of the twists and turns that the story takes with accelerating frequency as it progresses.
All the other reviews will give you the basics - pretty women (with, I must say, a bit more variety of type, boob size, and character, than in many AVNs), solid sex scenes, overall decent graphics, minigames, hidden objects to unlock "specials," etc.
If you value narrative, character design, voice acting, and erotic content integrated into the story, this first season is worth checking out.
