FoE Remains

Melee and gunplay is satisfying, there's a decent variety of enemies, and it being ponies actually serves the gameplay w/360 degree aiming, long-ranged melee and a variety of spells and telekinesis abilities.

The story is awesome, the visuals and animations are good. the combat mid-late game is a bit hard.

Don't let the ponies nor this being a fan game dissuade you from checking this out, Remains is a free side scrolling looter shooter with roguelike elements with plenty of weapons, magic and telekinesis to spice up combat.

The game is very friendly to complete beginners, and it'll engage you starting simple and gradually increasing the difficulty and amount of content, so you are never overwhelmed.

Great platformer with this nice cartoony graphics that don't get old, great character progression, good story and humour.

As a composer it's half tempting to make a custom soundtrack mod for the game if I had the time - it's easy to replace everything, as all the music is contained in a folder as .ogg files.
