Whereas Rockin' Android released a bug-ridden PC port of a PlayStation 3 port of a PC game with mediocre redrawn "HD" graphics (that's thankfully optional) with a host of problems at launch, such as glitches that weren't in the original version and broken online multiplayer that soured many players (myself included with the DRM free version from select bundles that never got patched since they seem to be Pro-DRM lately), Fruitbat Factory took their time to make sure everything was working while improving the game's quality-of-life features, which was well worth the delays.
Visually-speaking, acceleration of SUGURI 2 has made great strides from its predecessor like sora has to SUGURI, and it has only gotten better thanks to this overseas re-release's support for HD resolutions and higher resolution graphics.
The soundtrack DLC Accelerator is recommended when at discount for those who like the featured soundtracks in the game.
It's a perfect match for online multiplayer, and Fruitbat Factory did a good job with Steam integration and netcode.
It gets even better thanks to the inclusion of online multiplayer through Steamworks, spectators, and lobbies à la 100% Orange Juice, plus adding a viewable movelist for each character on the pause menu and a detailed how-to-play section to teach players the ropes of the game, much like the Tutorial Stage seen in sora.
