What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
However, if you don't, this is a solid way to experience one of the best FPS games ever made (even if it is overpriced).
- Includes some fun extras, including a multiplayer mode
As I have already reviewed Fresh Supply and more or less kinda already covered the gist of the gameplay I'll just link to that to save space, though it is kinda old so in a nutshell, Blood is good.
Co-op mode allows players to tackle the campaign together with fewer desynchronization issues, while classic competitive modes like Bloodbath remain a nostalgic callback to LAN-party mayhem.
- Great soundtrack, art style, and mood
It added proper gamepad support with a weapon wheel and rumble (the original controls were still there too); we were able to switch between MIDI and CD music at any time; it added split-screen/local co-op; the multiplayer was replaced with a modern online thing, etc.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway.
