Hunter's Moon: A Sovereign Syndicate Adventure

While it has a few fun twists on common rogue-like deckbuilder mechanics and a solid theme, I suspect it grabbed me because of how powerful the characters feel when they revisit old locations or find the right synergies.

The story is solid as long as you’re looking for a pulpy steampunk setting rather than a character-driven tale or a deep mystery.

I often skip voice-acting in other games in favor of being able to read text faster myself, but the speaking was brisk enough here that I usually listened to it.

I like that it feels like an adventure game, or a sort of linear "RPG", but with card-battler combat.

Luckily the four playable characters have distinctive playstyles while the relics and tarot cards we can find are the great replayability booster, bringing positive as well as negative effects to each run.

The Victorian Steampunk art style is honestly incredible and it looks so good in motion.
