Sure, skins are not a necessity of the gameplay and are purely cosmetic, but it's still something that should be pointed out.
Better graphics, smoother animations in some areas, and a fresh engine could have been a great starting point.
There is no allchat feature, and Hi-rez probably will never put an allchat feature into their game, which only hurts it because receiving a chat message from your supposed support player telling you you suck while they have yet to CC anyone is so insufferable that I haven't have the teamchat enabled for probably 5-6 years (and no not just the combat chat, just straight up I do not have the chat enabled).
