Gameplay wise it’s relatively simple.
Rather than relying on story or spectacle, Paint it Back builds its appeal through clear rules, satisfying progression, and a steady sense of accomplishment that comes from solving increasingly complex puzzles through pure deduction.
Once I got a feel for the interface I went straight to the highest difficulty level for each painting, which for some paintings was quite challenging.
Works well on Linux/SteamOS and has smooth Steam Controller support, enabling both relaxed play through the Steam Link on the couch or directly on your PC.
The art style is nice and clean, so it's very pleasant to look at.
Sound design follows the same philosophy, with gentle background music and unobtrusive effects that support concentration rather than distract from it.
