With this type of gameplay, it would have been easy to phone things in, so I'm really happy to see how much fun the devs seemed to have making the game.
simple but charming game, I find myself booting it up and whittling time again endlessly matching dogs witnout requiring too much of my thinking to do it. adorable art style with an addictive set of varying combos/tag builds that keeps things different and interesting between runs.
You can pretty easily get 10 hours of fun just unlocking all the decks, and then another 10-20 doing the higher difficulty runs.
Absolutely awesome to play on the Steam deck bar some minor controller compatibility issues, which I’m sure will be ironed out in future updates.
Lots of replay value by being a roguelike, plus the sound effects of all the different dogs and traits are amusing.
