This side quest in old school RPGs has become a main focus over the years in games and this game makes a great attempt at mixing the 2.
I would recommend customizing your Gameplay on 1st go around as Snail for world pace is just too much for me, I have much better games in my lib if I want to play 3 day empire builders with WAY more options for infrastructure.
The graphics are ok, the music was awesome, the narration was so good I let him talk for about half the time I played before I began cutting him off.
With it's storytelling (masterfully voiced by a narrator - who does all the voice acting in the game), as well as gorgeous art and music, the game masterfully evokes a dark and melancholy fantasy atmosphere - there are many events to explore - while there were many repeats, I found something new in every one of my playthroughs.
