What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
The first four characters Zidane, Vivi, Garnet, and Steiner are all fantastic.
The characters feel true each to their job, you don’t need to sacrifice on gameplay styles to be able to level up or upgrade.
I heard so much about praise about the game, that I came in expecting that this was an overhyped entry, especially with the Disney-ish art style, the more childish tone, and “sure is dark” dialogue didn’t land well for me.
I just wish there was partial or full voice acting.
For the most part this game plays beautifully on PC and Steam Deck, but I did experience a few crashes.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 2 more themes were each raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and are not shown.
