It does the smart thing and uses all the world building and character development from the first game as a base and creates some new scenerios with that established world (and that includes the BBL ending, it's not COMPLETELY spoiled by the events of this game, but it is referenced, it's reccomended you get the full ending in the original before playing this one, things'll make alot more sence).
