What players think
The recurring themes across 262 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
Story wise, I found it compelling, though I will admit it isn’t as solid as something like The Roottrees Are Dead, especially when it comes to worldbuilding.
Gameplay wise, the puzzles felt compelling to solve and I found the solutions satisfying to get.
A degree of suspending your disbelief is needed to enjoy the world of this story, and there were times when things felt a little too coincidental, or nonsensical for the world they were in (don’t think too hard about how people on the phone are sending you things, or how/why the sonitron works that way).
The artstyle and soundtrack are quite cozy.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
No recurring complaints surfaced in this sample.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 3 more themes were each raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and are not shown.
