In the end, a great fighting system and fun and quirky story mode helps bring the game worth a look despite the multiplayer downfalls, and was something that was fun throughout my experience, all be it a bit frustrating at times.

It could have used some HD visuals and polish for the game, because despite good character design and artwork, the sprites have shown their age at this point.

Netcode seems strong, and is even able to tell if connection would be too crappy to allow for matches.

Game natively recognized every controller I threw at it (x360, ps3 stick, even a gamecube controller), and I was able to rebind everything.
