What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
- This is probably more of a "neutral" piece of feedback, but the flow of the game being broken up into short waves of enemies is maybe a tad unorthodox - but I can't think of any better way to handle this in a genre like this, when every "level-up" of sorts like this can carry such wide-reaching implications for how your gameplay changes.
Different selectable characters come with distinct starting traits, stat distributions, and signature abilities that subtly alter how a build unfolds.
Some clones are just copies with a change of graphics to trick the unwary buyer into paying a few bucks for an asset flip.
Quality writing, awesome music, cool designs for the characters or enemies, and fun minigames can help the player get through so-so gameplay.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. One more theme was raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and is not shown.
