I have over 300h in both Nioh 1 and 2 and platinumed both games on PS4 and I must say that Nioh 3 delivers the good old traditional Nioh experience with it's incredibly fun and addicting combat system while also evolving with new mechanics like the changing styles between Ninja and Samurai and the open-field structure.

Nioh's combat is still some of the deepest in gaming, and ties with Khazan for having the sickest combat system in the Souls-like "genre".

On one hand, it's nice to play co-op in expedition and just roll over everything while everyone can loot stuff, on the other hand you HAVE to be around to get loot and you can't scatter around to the far corners trying to be efficient and clearing it all to save time.

Personally I couldn't have cared less as they expanded the weapon roster and I have many more weapons to try in samurai and ninja mode which I find super fun to play but its a point of contention for some people.
