The charming dialogue and the detailed Betsy's Bestiary successfully integrate the narrative elements directly into the core gameplay loop, making the world feel rich and consistent.
The few times I finished a run, I ended up using a combination of skills and upgrade specializations hinted at through the quests (like using the rings skills at maximum speed) - this tells me that the seemingly underwhelming skills (and in-run progression) are actually meant to be used in conjunction with complementary skills, and THIS is what can break the game wide open.
The difficulty curve is well-tuned, ensuring the challenge remains engaging as you Endure until Morning.
