What players think
The recurring themes across 103 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
Nice setup for the story, and the atmosphere is spot on.
I don't think visuals --even at their best-- can't logically excuse this performance anyways, therefore I can once again confidently say another huge overhaul is needed about the game's optimization as the recommended settings actually match some of my PC's components.
Gameplay Impressions
The whole camera needs to be overhauled, optimization desperately needs more attention like I previously mentioned, a lot of the sound effects need to be balanced (some of them were ear piercingly loud), at one point the character decided not to use his shotgun despite it still having ammo inside for some reason (which just fixed itself after I managed to save the game) and the UI can benefit from a whole re-imagining as it felt unresponsive at times as stuff like; navigating through menus, checking your health, choosing the radio and switching between different weapons were all just clunky and unintuitive.
I was playing on a playstation controller though.
The first one being the optimization.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway.
