Sound Effects work as intended, complementing gameplay superbly, so as to allow everything to be easily perceived, understood and reacted to.

In terms of difficulty, Mega Man 3 is a huge step up compared to Mega Man 2, with many of the bosses being somewhat challenging without the proper weapon, and even if you have the proper weapon, you can't just tank hits.
