The art style is very reminiscent of the Mother series and despite manual control over characters, it is effectively a visual novel.
What I did not expect, though, was just how interesting the cast of characters could be, which was certainly helped by the gameplay mechanic of needing to learn about people to influence their actions.

The atmosphere in general was appealing, thanks in part to an excellent soundtrack.
I liked that because it ensured you never got really stuck, but again, it is disabled at the end and I ended up getting stuck once, although I did feel like the specific ones were a bit too easy.
