If you don't really care about min-maxing and just wanna wander around in a huge sandbox, it's pretty interesting to poke at planets and explore the galaxy, and the game's visuals and sense of scale can be awe-inspiring even despite its age.

To X4: X4 is really huge and good, with very deep dark fantasy content to dive into, it has so many fun to play that other space games are no match for it, any way, Elite has planet landing and COOP gameplay that X4 do not have

This game is really really pretty, it's sound design, atmosphere and graphics are really solid, all the ships have unique engine sounds and characteristics that drive someone like me to want to try all of them out, at least for a little while.
