That fun mostly comes from the movement in my opinion, Just constantly gliding or jumping while shooting gives it a fast paced FPS feel which kinda scratches that DOOM type itch for me.

The gunplay feels great, the visuals are great and easy to look at (not a ton of visual clutter despite all the effects going on), the gameplay loop is ridiculously fun, the gun appearance with each upgrade is really fun (they even have a screenshot button that gives you a transparent png which is amazing for content creation for thumbnails or overlay usage)
