The gameplay remains faithful to its origins, offering side-scrolling levels packed with enemies, hidden items, and objectives that reward thorough exploration.
The graphics are not bad for the time period it was made in but unfortunately it uses a whole lot of grey, so it gets kind of dull here and there.
It is a very old game released in 1992 and it has things that many titles released that time lacked: a bit of story, proper savings, and what is very important to me - losing all lives means repeating a level, not losing whole game.
The remastered soundtrack complements the game's energetic pace, adding a fresh layer to familiar stages.
The controls are very responsive and they're also compatible with a X-Box controller, which makes everything much interesting for someone like me, who as a kid, only had the first episode available (shareware), and also had to play the game on a keyboard.
