At first glance it looks like a retro-inspired vehicle combat game set in a ruined future, but after spending time with it, the experience reveals itself as a surprisingly thoughtful blend of action shooter mechanics, settlement management, tower defense strategy, and resource-driven survival systems.

It can be dead simple (the additional weapons help), but I really actually enjoy how the devs were really clever to vary up how the NOISE slightly vary or creep around the attack path.

Juicy, fun, sound design, (and sound-design); I don't like tower defense gameplay but the expansionist, colony management, island-based approach, combined with the adorable theme of reclaiming the world for humans, makes this a really worthwhile game.
