I think the progression of the story is well paced, but definitely falls apart more towards the end (that bit felt slightly rushed).

What it does well in my opinion is the sound design and the visuals, whereas the story, characters, and sideplots are fairly standard surface level hentai.

There's nothing inherently wrong with the game, it's actually built pretty well and I do like the art style, the visuals and how the game plays. - it's just.... not very interesting.. it's kind of bland and flat to be honest.
