What players think
The recurring themes across 17 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
But what I love most about this game is the brilliant storytelling: rich lore, likeable characters, well written dialogues and last but not least a lot of humour throughout (and not overdone).
Gameplay wise, Heroines of Swords & Spells is inspired by JRPGs, but cuts out some of the fat by making non-boss enemy encounters basically a waste of time and resources.
Since you are not limited by classes, you can easily change your strategy at any point in time, certain abilities require certain weapons to use, and certain spells deal more damage with certain equipment, but outside of that, there isn't anything preventing you from turning your healer into a dps, for example.
This is honestly a pretty amazing game, don't let the RPG Maker graphics fool you, the game has as much content as AAA open world RPGs.

Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
No themes split opinion in this sample.
No recurring complaints surfaced in this sample.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway.
