There's an overall light tone with most of the dialogue and I did like how personalized the Demonpedia (bestiary) entries were.
If they cut some of the bloated elements, streamline the gameplay loop, and spend some more time on play testing, this IP could be really good.
This is an extremely gorgeous game, The Art style is pretty, the lightning is beautiful and Daisuke's characters and enemies design are extremely charming, The music is atmospheric though it's nothing to write home about.
