Something that can make me love its story and its characters, make me really happy, smiling from ear to ear and then kill one of the characters and make me cry.

Again, for a first VN, this works well alongside the in depth writing style but for those who follow/play Ebi-Hime this area vastly improves in future releases both artistically and with the OST.

At first blush, I took this for a somewhat straightforward "romance story with a dark twist", but exploring the many branching paths and alternate endings reveals a surprising level of depth and a very satisfying amount of total content (~13 hours for all routes).
