That said, combat is rarely the main focus; much of the game emphasizes exploration and puzzle-solving, with environmental challenges that range from clever to frustratingly opaque.

It's pretty obvious when the script loops, but they still make for fun challenges (for the most part) and being baked into the background allows for more creative visuals and attack patterns than in other contemporaries like Resident Evil.

There's at least one section where you can more or less softlock yourself because of how stingy hard mode is with ammo, so quicksave and rewind are very good friends, and actually allowed me to beat the game on hard mode, which you need to do in order to get the best ending.

If you want to play this game directly from the Steam Deck, I would highly recommend this game, for the price.

The writing is incredible, with each of the three playable characters having a strong and distinct personality brought to life by fantastic voice acting.
