By this time, we had already assumed that the potential of the PS1 had been completely tapped out, with games like Vagrant Story, Alien Resurrection, and my absolute GOAT, Metal Gear Solid, pushing the boundary of just what exactly that console was capable of.
It's pretty obvious when the script loops, but they still make for fun challenges (for the most part) and being baked into the background allows for more creative visuals and attack patterns than in other contemporaries like Resident Evil.
Load Times are pretty much instantaneous between the main menu and starting a new game.
While docked you are unable to use a third party controller to play the game.
The writing is incredible, with each of the three playable characters having a strong and distinct personality brought to life by fantastic voice acting.
Runs perfectly fine on SteamDeck.
