What players think
The recurring themes across 78 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
What makes the upgrades special this build is that even IF you go wrong, and pick something that's boosting bullets , but you chose a laser Artemis for example, you can still boost your 'starter guns' to have 7% of shooting a bullet and then upgrade that to try have more chance of triggering -> then the bullet effects etc. will take effect. -> Starter gun trigger missiles -> etc. etc. :) The openness to make a build work is what is separating Gunlocked 2 from 1, : ) very , verrryy positively; Maxing out super replayability, closer to what you want.
Visuals are mostly clean, and the UI is sort-of informative with plenty of cues and clues, albeit with a need to learn what those clues are.
Note: This review is based off of a very early access build that is actively getting bugs stomped and played purely on the steam deck
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway.
