What players think
The recurring themes across 47 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
The whole syncretic mix of themes for the lore, the cutesy sprites, the fairly balanced progression and difficulty curve for the gameplay (barring the downstrike mechanic which I didn't really find that hard, but your mileage may vary), all combined to make this game feel like a labour of love.
This will not be a long game if you really sink your teeth into platformers and action combat, but it will be immensely satisfying.
It's really recommended and a must play 2D Action Platformer with amazing pixel art style with a great story and love put into making it.
This game has multiple difficult and fun optional challenges, including something that I found even more fun than the Path of Pain from Hollow Knight, and of similar difficulty, though a bit shorter.
Now, I do have to say that the complexity of the story's lore does feel large for such a condensed plot, however, I found myself with effectively everything important conveyed by the time the credits rolled all the same.
The music and OST was really nostalgic and I really loved each one of them, they are really calming to the heart and you would stop sometimes and take a moment to enjoy them.
