Well drawn and animated Live2D art to go with both the main plot and additional small side stories featuring multiple Touhou characters brings Fire Emblem's supports to mind - except shipping is left as an exercise to the player - and does a nice job at livening up the setting; the only warning I have is that the game often expects you to be familiar with the world of Touhou and doesn't bother much with introductions, so newcomers to the series should go check out the wiki to have some context for who's who.
The soundtrack complements the action with energetic arrangements that fit both the festive tone of the Spell Carnival and the high-pressure nature of combat.
