the art style and the music is so nostalgic and the controls on a steam deck / controller are solid once you get the hang of them. would definitely purchase a separate DLC with more levels if one ever releases.
With the tight gameplay, Y2K visuals, amazing DnB soundtrack, and relative simplicity of it all, to my delight Y2ROLL delivered exactly what I wanted and more while also establishing its own identity.
EDIT: So, after briefly revisiting this game after swapping from a GameCube to a notchless Pro Controller, I think the latter is the best option for what this game wants to do by far.
Most of the playtime will come from repeat playthroughs across both the Campaign and Arcade mode, as well as the stage missions, which offer extra replayability.
