War of Omens Card Game

I like the slow grinding to make your deck better, and that the tournament mode gives you and your opponent equal chance for the good cards.

As someone who is captivated by an interesting story and creative storytelling, the appeal is in the lore, the worldbuilding, the particular style and flavour with which things are described.

This brings a lot of variety to card interactions and the game is only made deeper on top of that with its variety of classes, cards and archetypes.

The game itself is simple but there's a steeper learning curve with the cards and meta than Hearthstone given the lack of tutorials for 2/4 classes (as of my writing this review) and how quickly the battle can change with a knowledgeable opponent stealing/copying/"charging" cards.

The art style is unique, the gameplay itself can be fun, but it is an abusable card game (e.g. Vespitole infinite replays through the draw a card mechanic).

Atmospheric soundtrack, interesting campaign, lots of single player content, solid 1v1 multiplayer, extensive card catalogue to collect and a core game that has more mechanics than you'd usually expect from a player vs player CCG.
