very good walking simulator. not boring, very nice looking and sounding. not 100% a walking simulator since you can die from different things. the final encounter is pretty fun but could be longer or have more mechanics (such when it starts the big rock falls and blocks the path, slowing you down a lot, that is pretty clever)

Detailed three-dimensional environments, lighting, fog, shadows, physics, ambient effects, music, and reactive sound all contribute to the impression of entering a forgotten place that should perhaps have remained undisturbed.

That design direction fits the story particularly well because an overwhelmingly powerful supernatural presence would lose some of its mystique if the protagonist could simply confront everything through conventional combat.

this game is freaking gorgeous. the lighting, the fog, the way shadows move... every frame looks like a nightmare painting. sound design is just as good—creaks, whispers, weird distant noises that had me pausing to make sure it wasn’t coming from real life. music is subtle but makes everything feel wrong in the best way.
