Aurally, this V.N. is just as superb as there are an abundance of ambient sound effects present that really immerse you quite well into the story.
This visual novel is a licensed recreation of an original choose-your-own-adventure fantasy book from the 1980's with all new picturesque artwork and a fantastic soundtrack.
This game style focuses on the high quality of story telling so YES the bad romance aspect is a major flaw in this process and turns it into a sloppily written story with cool graphics/sound that ends quickly.
With that said, replayability is quite high as the very nature of choose-your-own adventure books warrant such a thing.
The overall user interface is simple and easy to use which allows you to focus on the reason that you are here for in the first place which is the captivating narrative.
If you've ever played Pathfinder or D&D with a female player/character at the table, and ever run into one of those guys who immediately start trying to convince her that they shouldn't be rushing into combat, that they should just be in the back and maybe even reroll as a healer or mage if they're going to insist on playing (with a high charisma score so he can hit on them), and that no matter what they should consult with him first because he'll show them how to make their character amazing?
