Shattered Divinities

Looks great, great music, the character moves smoothly and the attack animation feels good, plentiful upgrades to customize the character, the enemies, especially bosses, aren't annoying, the map is streamlined and satisfying to explore, great quality of life including customizable difficulty, and the story is even decent.

The difficulty creates satisfying tension because improvement feels earned rather than automatic.

Reason being that shattered divinities has excellent exploration and level design that checks off all the metroidvania hallmarks despite its short runtime.

These upgrades consist of lots of different passive and active effects that enhance your combat prowess in interesting ways, although some of them were hard to understand due to iffy translation.

Visually the game has a good looking albeit basic pixel art style with lots of bright colours and pretty environments, complimented by a soothing yet forgetable score that fits the vibes well.
